Yoshihara on the Podium again at New Jersey Formula Drift ( 06.23.2011 )

Round 4 of the 2011 Formula DRIFT Championship Series took place this past weekend in Wall, NJ at Wall Speedway. A vicious storm had rolled into town a few days before the event, but had passed through just in time for the much-anticipated drifting event. Due to the storm, Daijiro Yoshihara and his team, Falken Tire / Discount Tire, were left with little practice time to have his V8 powered Nissan 240SX on KW Suspension setup perfectly for the event. more »

SEMA Showcase 1981 Rally Porsche 911 ( 11.18.2010 )

The various versions of the Porsche 911 proved to be a serious competitor in rallies. The Porsche works team was occasionally present in rallying from the 1960s to late 1970s. Although the Porsche factory team withdrew from the WRC with no wins to their name, the best private 911s were often close to other brands’ works cars. Jean-Pierre Nicolas managed to win the 1978 Monte Carlo Rally with a private 911 SC, and Porsche’s second, and so far last, Henri Toivonen took his Prodrive-built and Rothmans-sponsored 911 SC RS to second place. In 1984 and 1986, the Porsche factory team won the Paris Dakar Rally, also using the 911 derived Porsche 959 Group B supercar.

The goal for this year was simple and clear for the FXMD team. Crush the Buttonwillow Super Lap Battle record held by the HKS EVO. At the end of the day the goal was accomplished with a lap time of 1:41.949, besting the HKS EVO record 143.523. This time was good enough to set a new Unlimited RWD record and second overall for Super Lap Battle. more »

Stance of the Union features cars with the right Stance and Fitment ( 10.26.2010 )

ST Suspensions was recently on hand at the Stanceworks “Stance of the Union” Show. While the weather was anything but inviting, the turnout was solid and several levels of the parking garage were packed with cars that had just the right “stance”. So sit back enjoy the photos!
