We were excited to see our new Belltech project truck arrive at the shop yesterday.  Its a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, 2WD Crew Cab.  At this point you can see its a nice clean blank canvas, it has been a while since Belltech has done a shop truck and to be honest, our collective heads are swimming with all the possibilities.  From the minute the truck arrived the discussions began; drop, color, mods.  So many options, so little time.  Just like any good build, it comes with a timeline, I don’t have to tell you that the spring show season is right around the corner and Belltech wants to have the new truck done and showing at as many events as possible this summer! Belltech was on hand at the recent Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield California at the world famous Famoso Raceway.

If you’ve never heard or witnessed it before, it’s the California Hot Rod Reunion presented by Automobile club of southern California, this was the 19^thrunning to be specific. Sights and definitely sounds filled the weekend at the historical drag-strip known as Famoso Raceway in Bakersifield, Ca. Tens of thousands of people drove in and  some even flew from continents as far away as Australia and Europe just to take in the spectacle that is Californian nostalgia drag racing. more »

What was the purpose or goal of the build? To make an enjoyable experience with the family while improving my skills and having fun. It was a first to customize a vehicle my own vehicle.

When did you start this project/How long did it take to build? It took approximately 1.5 years, I started in July of 2007.

What KW automotive products are you using? Belltech 2” drop spindles with a Belltech front anti-sway bar.

Estimated cost of the vehicle with modifications?  $25,000

During the weekend of June 27th the Belltech team checked another first off of its to do list by visiting our industry friends at Ron’s Performance Center in Honolulu Hawaii and helped them kick off their first annual Open House and Jobber show.
The day started off with a huge retail crowd coming through the doors enjoying the many discounts and sales that were being offered and also taking part in the many generous raffle prizes being given away by the large group of aftermarket manufacturers in attendance such as ourselves.
